Eligibility:
If you are coming to the United States and your parent or spouse is an A,E,G,H,J,L or NATO visa holder, you will need to enroll for a course of study on your existing Visa and will not need to obtain a special student visa. You are able to remain in the United States on your F-1 Visa until you have fully completed your studies, including, graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs. You may obtain permission from the INS to work. Before you apply for your F-1 Visa, you must first be accepted into an accredited school and your visa will only be valid for the specific school for which your application was made. You may transfer to another school, however, a new application must be processed.
